Subject: knitted *state* dishcloth patterns - free!

hi everyone!
just want to share my new website with all of you! :o)
I am designing knitted squares of each of the states, along with that state's initials. I call them cloths, but really am planning to make an afghan with them!
I am almost halfway through with the states, and then am going to work on Canadian provinces and a few other countries. I have Australia and England graphed out - just need to start knitting at warp speed so I can get them all done!
Oh! And if your state isn't up there yet - there is a "USA" cloth you can do while you wait! :o) I am getting them up pretty quickly, about 10 new patterns a week, so your wait shouldn't be TOO terribly long! :o)
I hope I post this URL right.....

Thanks for looking!

I'm looking for directions for a knitted bear using the new fuzzy yarns that are so popular for knitted scarves. I think I saw this in a craft catalog but thought it was more than I wanted to pay for directions.

This site has many Knitted dishcloth squares galore !!
The patters are all different , I love them.
I am not into doing large things , so the Crochet and Knitted small things
are to my liking.

Subject: this may be long, found a lot of cute crochet patterns

I saw a post here that someone crocheted a mouse. I searched the internet for a crochet mouse and found this great site for other patterns. But first I want ask someone if they can write a short poem to go with an owl: something along the line of:

I think of you
and Owl (I'll) always
miss you
So here's a token
I can't write a poem but maybe this will give you an idea of what I am looking for. Now here are the patterns:

(the above one is a toilet tissue topper with a whole bunch of different crochet flowers. Just the flowers alone would be fun to crochet)
http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/dawg.html (this is a cute dog door draft stopper and also a cute snake "door protector"
(this has instructions for gingerbread boy and girl but scroll down the page for a lot of other Christmas ornaments, including a crocheted mouse

Subject: Knitted pattern for schawl with arms

While visiting someone in the hospital I saw a type of schawl that had long sleeved arms. It was used just to keep the old folks warm while they laid in bed. It had long sleeves and just went around their back but just reached to the middle of their back. I hope I'm making sence of this. Does anyone have a pattern for such a thing?

[> Re: Knitted pattern for schawl with arms -- Leli, 09:34:22 07/24/05 Sun [1]

I bought one that was made of cotton material...they are called "bedjackets" Go to the search engine"google.com" and type in "knitted bedjacket" Hope this helps....

[> Re: Knitted pattern for schawl with arms -- Gailp, 00:17:37 07/26/05 Tue [1]

Thanks for the name bed jacket. I've done a search and I've found one that looks close to what I'm looking for BUT I'm wondering if anyone else has another pattern. The one I've seen is loose fitting, large arms and just fits around the back.

Hey Jazbo,
I am always afraid to visit a site that has a BUNCH of free patterns, >
Cause I already have to live another life time to make all the patterns I have saved in a " TO DO " file.
You know what I mean.
That's why I only do small things. Ha ha
But I am gonna go see if there are any more for me to save or have in case some one else may need them.

Hahahaha I know exactly what you mean. There are a lot of scarf, purse & hat patterns; I saved some of the easy ones like:

Barefoot sandals
Crochet open rose
Crochet real simple flower
pompom dolls
snowman & snow angel ornies
designer knitting needles

Plus I found that varigated ribbon yarn at wally world - it is gorgeous! It is used in a greeting card pattern that was posted earlier this week.
