Subject: help please a blessing poem for a blessing jar

hello, My name is Barbara and I am looking for a poem to go with a blessing jar. You take a jar and save money in it and when it is full you can give it to the person you want to give a blessing to or you can buy them something that they needed, plus a poem goes with it. Thank you for your time and help. Barbara

I don't know if this is what you are looking for but here's a little something that I came up with...

I've been saving all my pennies
In this special little jar
Because a penny on it's own
Doesn't stretch that far
And so I’d like to give you
This jar now that it’s full
Because you’re such a dear
And joy for me to know
But there’s one other reason
Though selfish it may be
For when I’m blessing you
I’m really blessing me!

How about a poem to encourage saving for a purpose?

I think that is the original intent for this idea: save money in a jar in order to then turn around and bless someone else with the money from the jar. But if you have another specific purpose idea let us know and I'd be happy to give it a shot... :)

Thank you Jennifer. LOL do you prefer Jennifer or Jen? I'm never sure so I alternate between the two. :)

Pauline is this what you had in mind?

BLESSING JAR
I’ll drop my spare change
into this jar every day,
and count my blessings
that I can help in some way.
For I certainly won’t miss
a few coins here and there,
but when added together
they’ll show that I care.
Then to someone in need
I’ll deliver the money
or maybe buy something
to make their day sunny.
And in serving others
I’m also helping me,
to become everything
God knows I can be.

Great Poem Jen.
Here's mine:

This jar is full of blessings
it’s money that I stored,
I dropped a coin inside
each time I thanked the Lord.
Every dollar represents my thanks
For the good things in my days,
And as I pass it on to you
I hope God will be praised.
For the gift of sharing
brings a smile to my face
and as you spend the coins
may you feel God’s love and grace.
