Virginia - I've been making this for 12 years now and they are beautiful. I make mine with nine spokes instead of the eight spokes - just a little different. I spray mine with cheap white or light blue paint and at the end of the season, I cut the fishing line in the middle to store it easier... One thing, you cannot use the six pack holders that are used for coke products - the shape is wrong. I collect the holders for the schools and the liquor stores - anyone who used a soda dispenser - they are glad to give them to me - knowing they won't be going to the dump and be a danger to the animals - heck my SIL has had one of the snowflakes on the front of his trucks all these years with no damage - heck - they will last for YEARS!!! Sorry to be so gabby

Thank You... I just now got back to the board. For the life of me I could not remember how to staple them all together. Virginia

I used to make these! I actually found it online now too. It is pretty from the front and the back - I used staples! very easy to put together... ooops - I used to spray them lightly with white or pale blue spray paint - a very light coat is all that is needed - just to give them a hint of color...

I made many of those in Grandma Bonnie's style. I never did them in Martha Stewart's style. In fact my DD#1 just made one recently using one of my old ones as a pattern. They could hang and move and both sides were pretty this way.I sprayed them white and also threw some glitter on them. Norma

Those are really pretty and would be really nice for outside. Norma what is Grandma Bonnie's style?

Huskerfan, I was alluding to the site that Grandma Bonnie share with us as her style as opposed to Sherron's site she shared with us. Hope that clears everything up. Yes candylady, I am telling my age which will be 70 soon.... Norma
