Make a Fabric Baby Grab Ball

Re: Needing your ideas - again! -- jazbo, 08:41:16 06/18/06 Sun [1]

Hey, Jude - I found a couple of links. The first one is toys for sale - cute ideas, though. The 2nd one is a tutorial for making a baby's grab ball.

So cute. Thanks. Myrtle, My quilt group once made several simple stuffed animals for this purpose. Once we got started, we turned out over 250. Everyone donated whatever remnants they had. I remember some blue gray knitted suede that I thought might not be useable. Next thing I knew, someone had cut the cutest whales out of it. A person who was adept at fabric painting added eyes that gave those whales real personality. Some little people will love your bears.

These are all the rage here in WV and sell for upwards of $20 each. I am making some for my girls out of jeans that they have worn the knees out of. Great way to recycle.
