This is an odd shaped Hat , ( to me) but the guys at car garages wear this shape of hat.
My husband still has one from 43 years ago.
I met him there, >> He retired from the Steel Mill and wore Hard Hats.

Subject: this may be long, found a lot of cute crochet patterns

I saw a post here that someone crocheted a mouse. I searched the internet for a crochet mouse and found this great site for other patterns. But first I want ask someone if they can write a short poem to go with an owl: something along the line of:

I think of you
and Owl (I'll) always
miss you
So here's a token
I can't write a poem but maybe this will give you an idea of what I am looking for. Now here are the patterns:

http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/animals.html
http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/leggs.html
http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/toys.html
http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/posies.html
(the above one is a toilet tissue topper with a whole bunch of different crochet flowers. Just the flowers alone would be fun to crochet)
http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/dawg.html (this is a cute dog door draft stopper and also a cute snake "door protector"
http://sarahanns.com/crochetworks/holiday.html
http://sarahanns.com/crochetworks/gingerbread.html
(this has instructions for gingerbread boy and girl but scroll down the page for a lot of other Christmas ornaments, including a crocheted mouse.
I apologize for this being so long, but just had to share my good fortune in finding this site.

Hey Jazbo,
I am always afraid to visit a site that has a BUNCH of free patterns, >
Cause I already have to live another life time to make all the patterns I have saved in a " TO DO " file.
You know what I mean.
That's why I only do small things. Ha ha
But I am gonna go see if there are any more for me to save or have in case some one else may need them.

Thanks for Sharing {{HUG }}

Hahahaha I know exactly what you mean. There are a lot of scarf, purse & hat patterns; I saved some of the easy ones like:

Barefoot sandals
Crochet open rose
Crochet real simple flower
pompom dolls
snowman & snow angel ornies
designer knitting needles

Plus I found that varigated ribbon yarn at wally world - it is gorgeous! It is used in a greeting card pattern that was posted earlier this week.
