Hi Shilo- I made about 24 of these snowflakes last year. We have a 10 foot christmas tree and I am always looking for new christmas craft ornaments to make. I've got more plastic canvases cut and now ready to put on the yarn. I use the white glitter yarn adds a sparkle to the snowflake. They are absolutely gorgeous and easy to do! Happy crafting-- Joann

I was taught how to make these 'bout 15 or so years ago. I also used the sparkly yarn on some of them, but also used a pale blue on a few, to get that slightly pale blue look that snow sometimes get. I also attached a piece of fishing line and hung them from the ceiling in the front room...at slightly different lengths, sort of like it was snowing. Really looked cool. ~Tricia

Pat TFS It's the first time I've seen a plastic canvas pattern. I have been wondering how to make a pattern for a snowflake. I've made dozens and have demonstrated. Now I see how to make a pattern. The snowflake is done in 2 pieces with the baby yarn. Then they snap together to make a dimensional ornament. I bought some at a craft fair and then made my own design.
