Subject: poem about a horse/ horses please?

I have just made a scrapbook for the retirement home with photos & poems. they were delighted with it. One of the staff asked if I could write one about a horse. Some of the residents love horses & also we had taken them on a drive to see some. So I was wondering if anyone knew of any good horse poems please? I once had a very embarrassing experience with a horse, but perhaps that is not appropriate.

Horses are beautiful creatures,
Always poised and graceful,
Always willing to work hard,
And sometimes very playful.

They've had a hand in history,
From wars to farming land,
They are a gallant breed,
No matter how high they stand.

They've carried us through time,
Grown with us through the years,
Horses have shared our lives,
Through happiness and tears.

Not sure if this is what you are wanting, but I had to try. Hope it helps.....

I want to make a sign for my friend that is doing her kitchen in cows. Does anyone know of any cute cow kitchen sayings? If I can't find one, then I was thinking of just putting 'Angela's Kitchen' on it with cow spots.

How about... Welcome - Cow do you do?
Or.......... Cow'm on in!

I love the cows I am in Ky. but born and raised in Calif. a close friend made me a shirt with a cow on it and it says I am a happy cow from California. That goes with the saying
on tv. And I love it. Just wanted to share a bit. Love to all of you in Jesus Love Myrtle

Rats like to chew a gooey hand
And sticky fingers are a treat
So be aware of what’s in there
Before you accept a sweet

Beware the rat
With long sharp teeth
Before you take
A candy treat
