I have a bird bath from terra cotta pots and I use a plastic saucer that looks like terra cotta for the top and two pots with the bottoms together. Nothing is glued. I need the saucer to be able to come off to clean and I store a pad for cleaning in the top pot under the saucer. I also have a half brick in the saucer to hold it down. The birds love it. Have had it for gosh at least 5 years. I was trying to post a pic but just can't. I have done it before but it is different now. Sorry.
