Subject: EMT poem requested...please :>)..thank you

Hello from a very cold NY..
I have been working for over an hour on a poem for an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
All I can do is write down notes and ideas..
Hope someone can help...
extensive training
racing to save lives
save lives
available 24 hours a day regardless of weather
a rewarding career for male and female
educate kids especially to tell adults to slow down and let the ambulance pass as they "race" to save lives..safety education
unpaid volunteers
provide services to the injured/sick
Sure need some help..the doctor changed my meds again..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
So I sleep a great deal...lol..
I haven't decided to use a lucky penny or an M&M idea..
I think this would work better with an M&M...

Thank you for help you can give...
Feel free to add anything I may have forgotten..more than one poem is fine..my customers still ask for certain poets..AND all have been asked for..lol...it really makes my day..and makes for great conversation around my booth..
One customer had the poems in a photo book..so she wouldn't duplicate anything..go figure...it was cool...
huggles,
Valerie
Sue..Happy spring!I remember my visit to Australia...
provide services to the injured/sick

Valerie,
To get you started ...you'll find one below! ;-) Crafty Me2

Some day your life or that of a loved one, may depend ...
On the quick reaction and care ... that an EMT will extend!
Many are unpaid volunteers, responding to a variety of needs,
In emergency vehicles, frequently, driven at high rate of speeds!
Transferring patients to the E.R. and reporting their observations,
These men and women do their best for you in a myriad of situations.
Not all EMT workers have the same level of qualification,
It varies with the degree of training and emergency education!
But all EMT personnel definitely share... one common thread,
The care and safety of lives ... that have been placed in their stead!

My son has been an EMT for 12 years and this is a poem he has framed and hanging on the wall in his home.

E.M.S. PRAYER

As I perform my duty Lord Whatever be the call, help to guide and keep me safe from danger big and small.

I want to serve and do my best no matter what the scene, I pledge to keep my skills refined, my judgement quick and keen.

This calling to give of myself most do not understand but I stand ready all the time, To help my fellow man.

To have the chance to help a child restore his laugh with glee, a word of thanks I might not hear, but this knowing is enough for me.

The praise of men is fine for some, but I feel blessed, that you, oh Lord have chosen me to serve in EMS!

~L.Lipps~

I know this isn't what you are looking for, but thought you might enjoy it anyhow.

Valerie,
Didn't know which route you were planning to go ... so here are my thoughts CM2

Red for the flashing of the strobe and light

Blue for quick response time, even at night

Green for volunteering talent and time for free

Orange for ongoing training to be a dedicated EMT

Brown for efforts required to pull together as a cohesive team

Yellow for the hope you give, though bleak the situation may seem

Eat the entire pack when the occasion appears critical
