Subject: Any Ideas Cinco De Mayo

I have 2 small table top trees that I decorate for every holidays..I am thinking that I want to decorate for Cinco De Mayo, but I am stumped as to what to put on the trees, You would think since I am of Mexican decent I would have a clue. I don't. Any help would be great

Pinterest for Cinco de Mayo has a lot of ideas. Here are a few of my own:

- small tissue paper flowers
- garlands like the ones that are made of tissue paper (I saw a garland made from taco shells! could be made from felt, etc.)
- tiny sombreros made from those small straw hats like for dolls
- anything made from felt or fun foam: burros, cactus, chili peppers, etc.
- small Mexican flags
- tiny pinatas
- I think Martha Stewart has some banners made from fringed tissue paper
- small Ojo De Dios, made with twigs & yarn
- felt mustaches
- mini serapes - make from ribbon or crochet your own

Hope these give you some ideas. If you find any, would you please share? I love small things for decorations, favors, etc.

I think small Mexican flags and ribbons with the Mexican colors are an idea.
