Okay, Christmas is over and now I need to come up with New Year table favors. Got any ideas?

Hi there!
One year we had a Christmas Eve party and I decorated a plant pot for each guest. They were on the small side. I bought wooden letters at the Dollar store so that I could spell out their names. Added some embellishments. I set them on the table so everyone knew where to sit.

In the pots I put things like gold coins for prosperity for the new year, a tangerine for good health. I don't remember the other stuff but it was fun and the pots went over well.

Do a google search for "New Years party favors to make" and you will find some ideas.

I think something with a bell with a tag about "Thank you for ringing in the new year with us" would be nice. A roll of lifesavers with lots of curling ribbon attached is cute.

Calendar - either a pocket card or booklet. i found a 2-yr booklet at a dollar store for $1. I like the bell suggestion, too.

I use a clock ...watch theme...I save old watches and use them for napkin rings .I also put them around pillar candles.I have an old Big Ben clock that I use for a centrepiece.There are probably other things you can do with them also..Favours can be little clock magnets or other Time related products

Thanks for all your ideas. I really like them all. I'm will be going out shopping and see what would work out the best for me. I don't have to have these favors until our meeting on January 14 so I've got a little time.
