BRIDAL SHOWER GAG GIFT BASKET IDEAS

Bridal Shower Gag Gift Basket
Well, here I am again - with gag gift & survival kit ideas. Hope there is something useful for you here.

Bridal Shower Gift Box
Kitchen Gadgets
Pretty Panties
Recipes (your own favorites on 3"X5" cards)
Bride Booklet
Measuring Spoons
Kitchen Timer

I know this is for newlyweds, but maybe there is something you can use:
Newlywed Survival Kit
A lollipop...to help you lick your problems, no matter how many there may be
A rubber band...to help you to remember to be "flexible" in all things
A Snickers Bar...to remind you that laughter IS the best medicine
A paper clip...to help you "hold it all together"
A stick of gum...to help you stick together
A pin (safety pin) ...to help you "pin-point" your problems, the better to solve them!
A piece of string...to help you "tie-up" those loose ends
A Lifesaver...to keep you from drowning in everyday problems
A lemon drop...to remind you that "when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade"
A penny...to give you the extra cents (sense) everyone needs to "know which battles are worth fighting and which are better ignored
A candy kiss...to share with each other
Button...to remind you that sometimes you need to "button your lip"
Tootsie Roll...to help you roll with the punches
Mint...to remind you that you are worth a mint to each other
Puzzle piece...because you are an important part in each others lives
Eraser...to remind you that everyone makes mistakes
Chapstick...keep your lips kissable
Confetti...to remind you to always add sparkle to your lives
Toothpick...to always pick out the good in your mate

There is also the 'little bit naughty' site for gag gifts:

Some showers have a theme; the gals at work had one for a friend that was 'bathroom'. Even the invites carried on with the theme - a toilet. Gifts were geared for things found or needed in the bathroom - towels, bath mat, bath supplies, etc.

You can use the Daddy Diaper Duty apron also as a shower gift, just put a tag on it that says...Roses are red, Violets are Blue, If you're not careful, this can happen to you. LOL I'm not the poet on this board!!!

HOUSEHOLD PRODUCTS FOR BRIDE-TO-BE WITH LETTER USING PRODUCT NAMES

Date Posted: 18:33:02 06/08/03 Sun
Author: Diane Z
Subject: Poem for housewarming

I was looking for a poem for a housewarming. I once heard a poem that had cleaning products names in it, then you gave the cleaning supplies. Can't remember it. Any ideas? You have helped a friend of mine several times, and always have such wonderful ideas. Thanks in advance. Diane

Here are two I have on file, but they are suited for a bride to be. I bet someone here would be able to convert them for a house warming. Hope it helps!

Dear "bride's name", You are entering a new ERA. There will come a THYME in your marriage when you find "groom's name" is not always MR.CLEAN, but don't send out the S.O.S. because he might VANISH. "Groom's name" will always bring you CHEER and you will find him to be your white DOVE. When you are together you will find JOY, so remember your PLEDGE and give him your ALL. To "bride's name" and "groom's name" the Best of Luck & Good Fortune in the years to come. And may "groom's name" always be your HONEY.

Dear "bride's name", It is only fair that we let (Bride's name) in on a little SECRET. (Groom's name) may be FANTASTIC but wait until (Bride's name) finds out that he is not MR. CLEAN. He'll expect her to be a DYNAMO in the kitchen and he thinks all women should MOP & GLOW. At night he'll wake you up at DAWN to SNUGGLE up close. We all AGREE that (Bride's name) and (Groom's name) will have a very happy LIFE together. Our wish for you is that your home be filled with JOY and you remain as happy as ever in the FUTURE.

We heard you were getting married
So we thought about a gift
A special little booklet
To give your husbands heart a lift
We tried to give the recipes
That would cause you the least stress
So Tara, here's your cookbook
From your friends at ITS

Poem: Holiday bridal shower

Date Posted: 18:27:03 09/12/04 Sun

Subject: I need a poem for a holiday bridal shower

We have a group of close knit ladies (all very creative) that have at one point worked in a craft store together. One of the younger ladies is getting married soon and we want to have a shower for her that the guests will be assigned a holiday and make a gift for the new bride to decorate her home for the different holidays. What I need help with is a poem for the invitation. Some ladies paint, some sew, some stitch etc. I thought something like "Heat up the glue guns" and that's all I get. I would appreciate your help

Heat up your glue guns
Get out the supplies
We're going to give ...(name)
A lovely surprise
Each one of us will be given
A holiday theme for her shower
So fire up the brain cells
And stoke up your craft power
