Subject: CUTE Tea/ Tea Cup Poems & Sayings!

I found some really cute short poems and sayings to put on tea bag holders, tea cups, etc.~~~Hope you like them!
Hugs, Lori Jean :^)

Tea pot is on, the cups are waiting,
Favorite chairs anticipating,
No matter what I have to do,
My friend there's always time for you.
~~~~~~~
Have a Beau - Tea - full Day!
~~~~~~~
We all enjoy sitting with friends and sipping tea
But sometimes this just cannot be
So here are some teabags for you from me
It's the next best thing
You can think of friends while you brew your tea.
~~~~~~~
A cup full of blessings we send your way...
This special tea has come to say
that you are thought of with love and care
And kept in many daily prayer.
We pray your heart is always light,
That God is with you day and night,
That whatever you do and wherever you go
Your blessings cup will overflow.
~~~~~~~
I really miss your presence
I like to hear your views
I wish that we could visit
And catch up on the news.

Since we can't do that often
The one thing that I can see is
We can dream together
And have a cup of tea.
~~~~~~~
A cup full of blessings we send your way...
This special tea has come to say
that you are thought of with love and care
And kept in many daily prayer.
We pray your heart is always light,
That God is with you day and night,
That whatever you do and wherever you go
Your blessings cup will overflow.
~~~~~~~
A little cup of friendship
With tea in a mug
It warms you up inside
Just like a personal hug
Remember as you drink
The good times and the smiles.
We'll always be together
Though separated by miles.
~~~~~~~
Like sunshine in the morning, may this brighten up your day.
And remind you that you?re thought of, in a warm and special way.
~~~~~~~
Come sit at my table, with a spot of tea,
and homemade cookies so happy we'll be.
~~~~~~~
A cheerful disposition is one that allows a teakettle to sing
while up to it's neck in hot water.
~~~~~~~
I cannot sit and chat with you,
the way I'd like to do.
So brew yourself a cup of tea,
I'll think of you, you think of me.

~~~~~~~
A little cup of friendship
With a bag of tea
When you drink this
Think of love from me.
~~~~~~~
When you're feeling sad & blue
And have no clue what to do
Sit down and have a cup of tea
And a hug or two or maybe three
Feel those troubles melt away
And start you on a better day.
by Paulette, 1998~~TLC Creations.
~~~~~~~
A cup of tea to say thank you
For all the things you've done,
And wishes that the day will bring
You happiness and fun..
Happy Mother's Day
~~~~~~~
Please enjoy this friendship tea,
A gift for you with love from me.
When your day is feeling blue,
I'll tell you just what you should do.
Grab the kettle, fill it up,
Heat the water, pour a cup.
Kick your shoes off, rest a while,
Feel the clouds lift, start to smile.
Now the day is going fine,
Thanks to this small gift of mine.

Tea Party
I had a little tea party, this afternoon at three
Twas very small, three guests in all, I, Myself, and Me
Myself ate up the sandwhiches, while I drank up the tea
Twas also I who ate the pie and passed the cake to me!
~~~~~~~
FAIRIES TEA
Up in a tree
Fairies sit to have their tea.
With china cups and china plates
They eat their dainty fairy cakes.
The table cloth is cobweb lace,
A name card sits at every place.
A warm moss upon the floor
Just inside the small oak door.
Wouldn't you just love to be
Invited to a fairy's tea?
~~~~~~~
Whenever you feel lonely, a special angel drops in for tea.
~~~~~~~
Our friendship is like a cup of tea, a special blend of you and me.
~~~~~~~
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its' fragrance,
There is solace in its' taste;
And the laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.
~~~~~~~
JUST A CUP AND SAUCER
Just a little cup and saucer
Sitting there upon the shelf.
Remembering what we've been through
I smile despite myself!
The countless chilly winter morns
I've poured a cuppa tea
And had my quiet time "alone":
My teacup, God, & me.
The precious friends who've shared their hearts,
That teacup in their hands....
How much that fellowship has meant,
Our Father understands!
Please disregard the faded rose,
The gold trim worn and smudged;
Those things increase its value
If through it a heart is touched!
-by Jennifer M. Seest
~~~~~~~
As you drink this tea,
remember me.
You are always in my heart!
~~~~~~~
Tea pot is on, the cups are waiting,
Favorite chairs anticipating,
No matter what I have to do,
My friend there's always time for you.
~~~~~~~
You're just my cup of tea.
~~~~~~~
My Friend... I wish we got together more often. Days seem to rush by so fast. I miss our long talks and visits. Those times we shared in the past. But when we do get together, It's like we were never apart. As you drink this tea, remember me. You're always in my heart.
~~~~~~~
Christmas Tea Poem
On Christmas Day, at half past three,
brew yourself a cup of tea.
I'll think of you and you'll think of me,
While sitting around your Christmas Tree.
~~~~~~~
TEA WITH THEE
When I need a little lift
I get together with a friend
and have a little Tea with Thee.
We have alot of fun and talk
the friendship means a lot to me
It really does a heart good
to have a friend like you.
How great this world would be
if they could see you and me
and find a friend as great as you!
than they too could have someone
to have Tea with Thee...
~~~~~~~
A cup of tea to say thank you
For all the things you've done,
And wishes that the day will bring
You happiness and fun

-Nancy Reagan

"In nothing more is the English genius for domesticity more notably declared than in the institution of this festival - almost one may call it - of afternoon tea...The mere chink of cups and saucers tunes the mind to happy repose."
-George Gissing

"I am a hardened and shameless tea drinker, who has for twenty years diluted his meals only with the infusion of this fascinating plant; whose kettle has scarcely time to cool; who with tea amuses the evening, with tea solaces the
midnight, and with tea welcomes the evening."
-Samuel Johnson

Lori Jean, I hope you don't mind if I add one that I've been using...

Christmas Tea

Postby Pathfinder » Thu Dec 09, 2004 4:10 pm

The Christmas season's hectic,
But it wasn't meant to be
So take some time to savour
a little cuppa tea

On angel wings
there's a wish for you
of comfort,peace
and kindness too

My gift can hang upon your tree
Some time for you and God from me.

Hi Diane.
Hope this helps
Sue :)

Poem
Though the miles divide us
I feel you in my heart
so lets have a tea together
even though we are apart
On Christmas morning
about a quarter to nine
you brew and drink yours
while I'll be enjoying mine.

As you're quietly relaxing

From the time the leaves were gathered
Right through when you sip your tea,
While you enjoy its taste and aroma

I thought this would be nice to give with the "St Johns Wort" stress reliever Tea.

Tea is an amazing thing
it soothes a shattered soul
it can brighten up a mood
and help a heart feel whole.
So keep this little teabag
until you're feeling down
when you need warmth and comfort
it can chase away a frown.

Re: Tea Poem Needed Please -- Doreen, 08:39:17 07/20/06 Thu [1]

Great work Sue, as always!

I have just realised Lorraine that you said 'tea' not 'teabags', so in the 2nd and third you can substitute the word 'teabags' with just 'tea'.

The 1st poem could say...

Here's some fine tea
For don't you think it's great
That it is time again
For us to celebrate.

Deb,
Might I ask a few questions?
Do your teabag holders have a specific shape or color
What materials are they made of..
I not certain that I am on the same page you are!
Thanks,;)Crafty Me2

[> [> Re: NEED A POEM -- deb, 18:25:26 02/04/07 Sun [1]

craftyme2
they are going to be made out of card stock with different designs and sayings maybe sister or mother, poem needs to be just general about having a cup of tea and thinking of me or thinking of you. im not very good with poems, hope this helps, and thanks

[> Re: NEED A POEM -- Crafty Me2, 19:13:19 02/04/07 Sun [1]

Deb,
I'm so glad I asked...because when I googled tea bag holders, they were made of pottery, etc...the one you described sounded like a tea bag cover...so I hope this is the one you need!

Tea bag covers…as cute as they can be,
Handcrafted for you…especially by me!
Dresses up an ordinary tea bag,
Or they can serve as a gift tag!
You could pop one in that special note,
To convey smiles from the one, who wrote!

Subject: Please any tea/teacup poems to share.

I have been picking up some cute teacup and saucers this year.Some are so dainty and so very pretty.
A craft show just a couple weeks away and I'm in need of a poem.
I am so missing the archives,November is the worst time for it to be unavailable.

Something for friendship and tea.
I thought I'd add a couple tea bags with the tea cup.
Thank you for looking in.

Patty, I'm with you in missing the archives. Over the years I occasionally remember to save some of my favorite poems in Word documents for items I often use. Here's some of what I have. Not all are appropriate for your need but some could be "adjusted" by a word - generally the poets don't mind if we keep their names attached (example, some were written for a tea pot but you could change to tea cup). If memory serves, there is a poem for Tea for One or something like that so if archive board comes back soon, you should look for it. I'll also add a few of my favorite tea sayings that I've used when giving teabags. Meanwhile I hope the poets come up with a poem or two just for your needs.

I would like to visit you

But as I can’t do all I like
Have this cup on me

A cup of tea

Special moments

...............
Just a little cup and saucer
Sitting there upon the shelf.
Remembering what we've been through
I smile despite myself!
The countless chilly winter morns
I've poured a cuppa tea
And had my quiet time "alone":
My teacup, God, & me.
The precious friends who've shared their hearts,
That teacup in their hands....
How much that fellowship has meant,
Our Father understands!
Please disregard the faded rose,
The gold trim worn and smudged;
Those things increase its value
If through it a heart is touched!

Sayings...

May your days be steeped with love and warmed with joy.

Pretend we’re having tea for two
And know my thoughts are there with you.
...............
A special blend for a special friend.
...............
Please think of me
When you drink this tea.
...............
Our love (or friendship) is like a cup of tea –
A special blend of you and me.
...............
You are just my cup of tea!
...............
A friend like you is just my cup of tea!
...............
From one bag to another,
You’re tea-rrific!

Have a Beau-Tea-full Day!

Tea Poems Good for Year-Round

Date Posted: 08:08:19 10/22/10 Fri
Author: Shirttails
Subject: Can Someone Tweek This Poem?

This poem is for a teabag for Christmas but I'd like to have something that is generic for any time of year. Can someone come up with a version or link that could work this out?

On Christmas Day
at half past three,
Brew yourself a cup of tea.
I'll think of you,
You think of me
While sitting 'round
the Christmas Tree.

Sure, I'll try:

Select a day and
at half-past three,
Brew yourself a cup of tea.
While sipping this calmly,
I'll think of you and
You think of me.

I can't tweek your poem but here is one I have saved.
(((HUGS)))Lee

When you're feeling sad and blue
And have no clue what to do
Sit down and have a cup of tea
And a hug or two or three
Feel those troubles melt away
And start you on a better day

Some quiet day at half past three
Brew this cup of friendship tea
Take a moment and think of our past
Those memories that always last
A special moment that helps you see
And know our friendship was meant to be
I hope a smile comes to your face
And know that in my heart you have a place

New: Birthday & Get Well Tea Poems

Date Posted: 15:46:54 03/14/13 Thu
Author: Fay in Australia
Subject: What title would you give these 2 tea bag verses please ?

I have found these 2 tea bag verses, neither had a title, What would you call them please ? if you were making them into a card

I really miss your presence
I like to hear your views
I wish that we could visit
And catch up on the news.

Since we can’t do that often
The one thing that I can see
We can dream together
And have a cup of tea
.........................

A little cup of friendship
With tea in a mug
It warms you up inside
Just like a personal hug
Remember as you drink
The good times and the smiles.
We’ll always be together
Though separated by miles.

Both verses are lovely and, for starters, I think both would be suitable for cards headed: Friends, Thinking of you, Just Because, Close Friends though Miles Apart, Across the Miles, Miss You.

They are lovely and have been around for a few years. Any time that I have ever seen them used or references made to them, they were called "Friendship Tea", "A Cup of Friendship Tea", or just "A Cup of Friendship".

Hi there from the UK. I find they're usually called A cup of friendship. Thought you might like a couple I made up.

BIRTHDAY TEA

While thinking of your birthday
a thought came to my mind,
I'd love to spend some time with you
but time is hard to find.
So I'm sending you this teabag,
a gift to you from me
And pretend I'm right there with you
When you enjoy this cup of tea.

GET WELL SOON TEA

I'm sorry to hear you're poorly,
I hope you'll feel better soon.
So while you're taking it easy
Find a teacup and a spoon.
Enjoy this tea I've sent you
Put your feet up, rest a while.
And think of me as you drink it
And I hope it makes you smile.

Thank you for those, among the ones I made up with your suggestions was one that said "Across The Miles" will see how it goes. We have kilometreshere , but "across the kilometres does not have the same ring to it

Those are all great poems.
I used to have a little crochet tea pot pattern with a pocket in the back for a tea bag. I think it was in a old Annies Attic magazine.
Might have to see if I still have it.

I start my day with coffee but have tea most afternoons. Someone sent me a Tea Bag recently in a Voy Swap card.
ENJOY ST PATS DAY--WE ARE ALL A BIT OF IRISH TODAY !!
