Subject: Poet needed

My parents are celebrating 50 years next week and I would like to have a poem that expresses my thanks for being such role models for marriage to put in their memory book.
They have 5 kids (4 girls and 1 boy) and 3 beloved grandchildren. They give and give. I love them very much and want to be able to express it but I am not too good with these things. There have been alot of good and bads times..with dad in the service for 20+ years. Vietnam....

Thanks for helping me make this a wonderful day. I just don't know what to say. I am terrible with words.

Hi Kim
This still needs work but wanted you to know I'm working on it.
Sue :)

It's your anniversary
fifty years have passed
since you said "I do"
time's gone so fast.
So many changes
times good and bad
some memories are happy
others make you sad.
But through it all
your love stayed strong
in each other's eyes
and hearts you belong.
Raising a family
with love and trust
showing what marriage means
and that respect is a must.
You're great role models
all your children agree
grandchildren adore you
that's plain to see.
So love and best wishes
to my parents so fine
you lead by example
and I'm proud you're mine

They have 5 kids and 3 grandchildren that they love to a fault. They give and give. I love them very much and want to be able to express it but I am not too good with these things. There have been alot of good and bads times..with dad in the service for 20+ years. Vietnam....

Will this work for you?

Fifty years ago this day
You started a new life
You said your vows before the Lord
Becoming man and wife

Through ups and downs, highs and lows
You’ve stood the test of time
You’ve weathered every kind of storm
Yes, every single kind!

Each child who you raised and loved
Returns their love to you
With special adoration and
Respect for all you do

Especially for the way you seem
To give so selflessly
Including how you always love
Each of our family!

So mom and dad we give to you
Congratulations, many!
No parents measure high as you
Not ever, no not any!
