Unzipping a zipped file folder
1. Download the zipped file on to your desktop or where ever you want the zipped file at. It can always be moved later if you want it moved.
2. Double click on the zipped folder and you will either see more files after it opens into another window or you will see a folder.
3. On left side of that window you will see Folder Tasks, under it will be Extract Files, click on it. Another window will pop up called Extraction Wizard, click next and it will ask the destination of where you want to put the file.
4. Generally it is easier if you keep the destination like the Wizard wants to, mainly because then you don’t have to go searching for it. Click next and when it is finished click Finish. Another window will pop up and then there should be all of your images.
5. To move them to your graphics folder, click on the first image, hold shift key down and then click on the last one. This will highlight them. On the left side you will see under File and Folder Tasks---Move the selected items. Another window will pop up asking where you want them to be put. Click on the folder and then click Move.
6. It is always best to keep your zipped files on another drive on your computer if you can or burn them to a Re-Writable CD. Then if your computer crashes you will have them.
Zipping a file
1. Gather up what graphics you want to zip, put them in a folder and name it.
2. Right click on the folder, scroll down to “Send to”, go over and down to Compressed (zipped) Folder and click on it. Your computer will do the rest and will compress everything down.
3. Then you can either burn to a Re-writable CD or move the folder to a different drive on your computer.
