Here's a site that has lots of angel clip art and lots
of different angels. Kind of complicated but think it's
worth it. Takes awhile.

LINKS: FAVORITE CLIP ART/GRAPHICS

Date Posted: 22:03:05 03/01/04 Mon
Author: Kim in Texas
Subject: Favorite Clip Art?

I love my printmaster program and use it to do many projects. But I'm finding that even with 7 discs of clip art and 2 more non-printmaster related, I don't have all the clip art I want and need.

So I have a question/favor to ask....What is your favorite clip art program?

Thanks for any help you can share with me. I want to get some good programs, but don't know where to start.

[> Re: Favorite Clip Art? -- ~*~, 22:37:55 03/01/04 Mon [1]

When I find the clipart that I want on the net I download it and save it in a clipart folder. That way I get what I want.

[> Re: Favorite Clip Art? -- Elizabeth, 23:51:54 03/01/04 Mon [1]

Houston Texas here!
I have Printmaster DVD, also Picture It, then several clipart cd's, but always find myself still doing searches.
Is there any certain clipart you are needing? Maybe I can help?

[> Re: Favorite Clip Art? -- Christine (Memphis), 09:53:40 03/02/04 Tue [1]

I agree with everyone... never enough clipart!!! I find myself using Google.com and clicking on Images then typing in what I want to find. Be sure to type in different words relating to the subject. For instance I recently wanted a graphic of knocking so I typed in several different combinations to search like "hand knocking on door".Then just right click on the picture and click Save As... I have created a main folder on my C drive named DOWNLOADS. I have created Sub-folders like Animated/ Seasonal/ Butterflies/ Flowers/etc. Under Seasonal, I created even more Sub-Folders and named them Christmas; St. Pat's; Valentine; Easter; etc. This helps me a lot to keep organized when saving the graphics. Then when I am in a hurry to find those graphics, it doesn't take so much time. Another tip is when saving the graphic to rename it. Sometimes the original name of the graphic is numbers or just something foreign you wouldn't recognize. So, for example, I might change the name to Butterfly1. If I already have a butterly1, I save the next one butterly2. Does this make sense? I don't know how everyone else does it, but this is my method (of madness!!!! lol).

Have you used hugware. You go to www.pccrafter.com. They have a lot of clip arts that you can purchase. Either cd's or creatables which you can download directly. They are for sale. You might want to take a look.

[> Re: Favorite Clip Art? -- Crafty43, 19:29:56 03/02/04 Tue [1]

I agree never enough. I purchased CDs from countryclipart.com. She also has some free ones for personal use only, I think. Happy Crafting!

[> Re: Favorite Clip Art? -- KarenSimon, 00:49:56 03/03/04 Wed [1]

I know with my Click-Art 200,000 images and Master Clip 202,000 images I still find in need of something else. Something I discovered is to do a www.google.com search. Click on images and type in what you are looking for. I.E. dog(s), tweety, baby, or whatever. Click on one of the results and then go to the image and right click>copy (or edit>copy) and then go to where you want the image displayed. Edit>paste. Voila. One word of CAUTION is that many of these images are copyrighted

Lisa, if you don't find any suitable clip art, you might try what I did. I found a rubber stamp with one feather. I stamp it on the card with the poem, then emboss it. It really looks nice.

Fay what sort of graphics did you have in mind? If you go to the search engine Google, click on images and then type in a word relevant to what you want to find you "should" get quite a good selection.

My son is nuts over Buzz too. I found some really cute Toy Story fabric at Wal-Mart and I used fusible webbing to fuse a big square patch of the fabric to a long sleeve T, then zig-zag stiched around it, I paired that with coordinating sweat pants to make jammies. I also made him mathcing pillow shams and a throw quilt from the same fabric. It was a hit with him

Sams Gram, be sure and use ALL the letters. This is a large picture of Buzz. Let the page fully open and see a very good pattern to iron on.

Clip Art Question

Date Posted: 08:39:14 02/11/04 Wed
Author: mk
Subject: Clipart Question

After reading about SassyPrints I have a clipart question. Did she draw all of those pictures herself or did she get them from the web or a book? I see Tweety Bird. Can you legally use that? Can you sell things you print out from that site?

Can we use clipart from books that we buy or from free websites and put it into things like that and then sell it. How about if we put on it where we got the pictures?

Re: Clipart Question -- Answer girl, 14:16:50 02/11/04 Wed [1]

You can use most things for personal use only unless you have written consent from the artist.
If you are interested in selling items look at getting
'royalty free" art a good source of that is through
www.dover.com where you can buy it out right on disc.

Re: Clipart Question -- katieangelamber, 15:19:54 02/12/04 Thu [1]

Out of curiosity I went to www.dover.com and all I found is a website for Dover, Delaware. Could it be some other website you were talking about. katieangelamber

Re: Clipart Question -- ***, 18:03:49 02/11/04 Wed [1]

I have to be honest here ladies, I saw what and where "Sassy" was refering to about someone taking her items and posting as their own. I ran across it "accidently" today.
Let me begin by saying that she (the owner of Sassy Prints website) has lovely work that many of us enjoy, she also seems to be a very nice lady. I have nothing but respect for her and her work. I do not want this message to be taken the wrong way, it is in NO WAY meant as a disrespect to "Sassy" I just want to shed a little light on what appears to have happened.
The itmes were posted at a MSN Group (not the one associated with this board!!!) this group was a craft group, with a printables page, much like any other craft group and much like any other printable page you would expect to see.
All of us (including this MSN group I am refering to) "share" goodies that we find. If we see something amazing that we think others would enjoy, we post it for others to see.
At CraftSayings.com MSN group things are mostly posted as links to the site where it was found, which is great!
Other sites simply post the picture, teabag, candy wrapper, or whatever it may be by saving the image and them posting the image. Which is what APPEARS to me to have happened in the SassyPrints case. Whoever posted the items simply did not include where the items came from, and may not have known where they came from (someone could have emailed them the stuff) BUT I also did NOT see any evidence of anyone there saying it was their own work or claiming it as their own.
Believe me I cannot imagine how it must feel to see your own personal work posted at some site you have never seen or heard of, I can imagine that it would be very upsetting.
But in all honesty what appears to have happened in this case is something that we ALL do on a daily basis....we share printables that we find!
Please do not take this message the wrong way, I just wanted everyone to be aware of how this happened and REMEMBER when you "share" something if at ALL possible give credit to where you found it.
Regardless of the outcome of this situation I wish "Sassy" the best! Her talent is amazing!
