We've got one of these coming up in the next week or so, I imagined it to be a little like this. Hope it helps.

Well we've had the wedding rehearsal
It all went right to plan
The bride she looked so lovely
The bridesmaids and best man
The groom was really worried
But then he realised
It was only the rehearsal
So the bride would definatley arrive
The vicar read his words out
Explaining as he went
That the words they both repeated
Were really heaven sent
The brides father did his duty
Though he walked a bit too fast
He was reminded to take a little time
And make the aisle walk last
Her mother had her hankie
As she smiled, although in tears
But her father and the bridegroom
They had grins from ear to ear
The best man looked quite nervous
He was worried about his part
I even saw him checking
For the rings
Next to his heart
The rehearsal finally over
They all went to have a meal and drink
To give them time to talk about
The wedding things, I think
For very soon the real thing
Will be taking place you see
And they're sure that it will prove to be
Everything they wished for it to be

Holy Cow Yvonne! That's an awesome write! I love it! You are so good at hitting the nail on the head!

Thank you Jennifer. As I said we have a rehearsal coming up and I can just imagine this being the way it goes. We've already been kidding the brides father that we are hiring a skateboard for him to get Emma down the aisle lol My son is getting on her nerves by asking for songs like 'I gotta get out of this place' and 'rawhide' instead of the bridal march.

I picture a sled or sleigh decorated with snowflakes.
Maybe put bride and groom dolls (or bears or snow woman and snowman-dressed like bride and groom) in the sleigh.
If I can think up more I'll let you know.

Sorry, can't think of anything spectacular, but if you make it a white box and cover it in those snowflake sprinkles (the type you usually sprinkle on the table top) it would be simple and themed. I wrote this poem maybe it will help.

This box will hold our wedding cards
So we can keep them in one place
Then everytime we look at them
They'll bring a smile unto our face
And in the months and years to come
We'll handle them with pride
It's just a box to hold our cards
But it's full of love inside

What other color is her main color? Maybe use a box first wrapped in the color she is using then use crochet doileys that look like snowflakes to decorate it? Or even a solid colored gift bag that you add the snowflakes to!

I always use a decorated basket to hold my cards. Maybe painted her main color and then add snowflakes.......painted on or plastic. Use ribbon that has snowflakes printed on it. Make a pretty bow for the handle of the basket.

For my daughter's wedding we used a mail box - padded and covered with white fabric (I used leftovers from her dress, but you could use anything) and flowers.

Hi Happy!
I did a search and found a few for you. Any sound good?
Hope this helps, and Congratulations to the bride and groom!

YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS PUNCH

1 (12 oz.) can frozen orange juice
1 cup cream of coconut
3 cups pineapple juice
1 (32 oz.) sprite

Mix all together. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Can freeze extra pineapple juice ahead of time to make a frozen block to put in punch to keep cool while serving.

PARTY FRUIT PUNCH (with someone's notes included)

"My mom catered weddings when I was younger, and this is her punch recipe. It's tarter than most, which makes it refreshing when paired with sweet stuff. Use different juices to vary color and taste. "

Ingredients:
2 (12 oz) cans frozen lemonade or pink lemonade concentrate
1 (12 oz) can orange juice concentrate
1 (12 oz) can pineapple juice cocktail concentrate
4 (2-liter) bottles of lemon-lime pop
(We like half 7-Up and half Squirt, but any lemon-lime is fine.)

Directions:
Chill pop. Mix juices with water as directed on can.
Chill if you have time.
When time to serve, mix equal amounts of juice and pop.
This makes a yellow punch.
*******************************************

MARTY'S YELLOW PUNCH

1 large package lemon Jello
1 can frozen orange juice, (12 oz.)
1 can frozen pink lemonade, (12 oz.)

Instructions:
Mix Jello according to directions on package.
In a large container, mix Jello and fruit juices.
Add amount of water as directed on each can.
Makes approximately 5 quarts.
Can also be frozen for a slush.

No one said if you wanted it to be a dry shower.
I serve one that is called slush
1 lg frozen orange juice
1 lg frozen lemonade
6 teabags
2 cups sugar
4 cups water
boil water add teabags and sugar and seep. when cool add the other items. you then add 2 cups of peach schnapps and freeze the mixture solid. At time of serving scoop out frozen mixture into glass (1/2) then add ginger ale to fill. Very little schnapps per drink and it goes a long way
