Subject: Keep Chistmas with You.....
Here is my small tree (18 inches) which I have decided to keep out for all year...I hope to decorate it for special occasions throughout the seasons...I don't think you can see it clearly but the tags I made on the computer are hanging by a small wire hanger I made for each tag inserting it in a hole on each side and securing it by wrapping the wire around a pencil to make a spiral. Each tag was printed using a fonts of 97 and then decorated with glitter glue and I also added the tag on the tree trunk.
I will be decorating it for Valentine's next...I am making different hearts. Please let me know what you think and maybe also give me some ideas for decorating it.

Besides decorating it for the holidays .. Christmas.. Valentines..St. Pat's.. Easter and so on, you could decorate it for your birthdays and anniversaries too by putting tiny photos of the birthday boy or girl. Well this is just one other idea.

Really nice, Doreen and I love the variety of your ornaments. Sounds like a lot of year-round fun. Makes me want to dig out an old small tree I haven't used in a few years. Hope you'll share future occasions with us too. You might make an ornament or two each time with some of the poems you've written for holidays and special occasions over the years.

Hi and thanks everyone for your comments and ideas, I love every one of them. Glad my tree has been inspirational.
Deb I don't have pets but mine is on top of a wallunit, is that safe enough or does your cat climb everywhere?
Sue hmmm, an edible display, little Easter eggs, now you got my mind thinking again! I really have to come up with something now, maybe even mini packets, chocolates, everyone's favs on their birthdays, etc. : )
Grrlsmom I think I will use the graphics on this page (may have to be resized) for St. Pat's Day.

Hey Sis I love the birthday and anniversary idea, very original! I hope you are feeling better from your cold/cough Sue.
Carolyn I think your ornament and poem idea is great : )
Linda Ohio now Ga I think I got the idea initially from your having a tree all year round and Linda (Huskerfan) I am sure you will love having one too, probably you will have so many stitched ornaments on yours !
Any more ideas?!
If anyone puts up a similar tree, please share a pic or two!
Hugs and Blessings to all,

June to Aug - sun, sunglasses, tiny flipflops, bathing suits, sea shells, drift wood, sail boats, fish, bugs, popsicles, ice cream cones,
Sep - school-related things
Oct - bats, ghosts, witch hats, jack-o-lanterns, cats, candy corn
Nov - leaves, acorns, owls, nuts
Dec - the sky is the limit here
Birthday - a. picture of birthday person, tiny party hats, party horns, confetti streamers
b. picture of each person with their date, to celebrate all at one time
Wedding - doves, rings, white flowers, tiny church
Anniversary - picture of the couple, make how many years they have been married from felt, tiny gifts
Your country - flags, mini banner garlands, things that are particular to your country (animals, landmarks, etc)
Color - pick your favorite & decorate the tree with everything that color
Your favorite things - decorate with things that are important to you
Themed - scrapangels, stars, gingerbread, prim, yoyos, dolls,

Doreen, I have posted your idea on my blog , thanks for your "go ahead". I added how to replace the small tree if we don't have one, I hope you don't mind.
I also made some hang tags for the tree for Valentines which anyone can download here:
