Teacher Survival Kit

Crayon - to color your day bright and cheerful
Candle - for when you are up late grading papers
Hugs and Kisses - for when you need a hug
Rubberband - to remind you to be flexible
Eraser - to remind you everyone makes mistakes and they can be erased.
Marbles - to replace the ones you've lost
Lifesaver candy - you are a lifesaver to many of your students
Jewel - because you are as valuable as a precious stone
Puzzle Piece - without you the class wouldn't be complete
Paperclip - to hold it all together
Mounds Bar - for the mounds of confidence you give your students
Shiny Penny - to remind you, each will shine in their own special way
Ear Plugs - when you just can't take anymore
Starburst - to give you a "burst" of energy when you need it
Mint - to remind you that you are worth a "mint" to your students
Tissues - to wipe away the tears...yours and theirs.
Gum - to help your class "stick" together
Bandaid - to help fix any hurt feelings

Put some of the above items into a can & give with a poem:

#1 –
I've heard you got the call
That you are now a teacher here
The children will be so happy
And will give a mighty cheer

Here are a few items
Use them with a plan
Why? Well just because
A Teacher Can!
katieangelamber

#2 –
A teacher can do many things
As they go along lifes way
They can teach you sums and english
How to write and how to play
They can teach you to read stories
And how to treat your fellow man
But most of all they give you knowlege
Why, because a teacher can

This one would use a Mounds candy bar, Rolaids, mints, lifesavers, a crayon, a bath bomb, a stick of gum and a teabag.

Teacher Survival Kit
by shirleyt@craftsayings.com

May this little kit help you
survive a year of school
and on those trying days
help you keep your cool...

There's mounds to thank you for
the mounds of homework you grade
and Rolaids for those days when
you could really use an aide...

Mints to instantly refresh
your weary mind on the spot
and a lifesaver because we
appreciate you a "hole" lot...

A crayon to color your days
sunny, bright and dazzling
and a bath bomb to relax
after a day of frazzling...

A stick of gum to help
your great ideas to stick
and a teabag to remind
we think you are tea-rific!

Good morning Sue & thank you, I love it
We are hearing of the terrible floods in NSW, I hope they are nowhere near you. So hard to comprehend, so soon after the drought

Jelly Bean - To add some colour to your day
Peanuts - to get a little nutty
Band aid - For when things get a little rough
Marbles - to replace any you lose from time to time
Sponge - to soak up the overflow when your brain is too full
Puzzle piece - without you things wouldn't be complete
Lifesaver - for when you've had one of those days
Toothpick - pick out the good in each student
Star - though every child is different, given the chance they can all shine.

And finally: Just remember those two special words - School Holidays!

Paint their minds and guide their thoughts
share their achievements and advise their faults
Inspire a love of knowledge and truth
as you light the path which leads our youth
For our future brightens with each lesson you teach
each smile you lengthen each goal you help reach
For the dawn of each poet, each philosopher and king
begins with a teacher and the wisdom they bring.
