Harvest Potpourri
I found in my files a potpourri using pumpkin seeds, but I thought it would be nice to throw in some dried corn and beans, etc. and call it Harvest Potpourri. What do you think? I have NOT tried this yet! If you do please let me know how it turns out and any changes you suggest because I just made up the amounts for corn and beans. lol
Ingredients:

1 - 2 cups pumpkin seeds

1 T cinnamon

1/2 T allspice

1 T oil
-
1/2 cup cloves

3 - 4 cinnamon sticks

1 cup dried field corn (or popcorn)

1/2 cup dried lima beans

Real or fake red berries
-
Optional: Dried berries, dried fruits, etc.
Instructions:

Put cleaned pumpkin seeds in a baking dish.

Add cinnamon, allspice and oil.

Mix well until all seeds are covered.

Bake in a 350° oven, stirring frequently, until golden brown, approx. 45 minutes.

Add cloves, cinnamon sticks, lima beans, red berries and any other items that would enhance it.

Label with poem if for a gift.
